Honest opinion on these girl names...
Ok, so honestly ladies, if you heard the name "Miley" (or different spelling) for a girl what is the first thing you would think of?
Since we are team green this time and need to come up with a boy and girl name we are really struggling with girl names. I dreamed the other night that we had a girl and named her Mylee/Miley. When I woke up I thought, Aw that's a cute name for a girl. Then after thinking for like 2 more seconds decided it may be a bad idea.
We also like the name Carly but will having a Carson and a Carly be way to similar and confusing??
Other girl names we are throwing around:
Kendall, Kennedy, Brya, Brynna, Bailey, Lillian
I'm secretly hoping this baby is a boy because I'm just not set or excited about any girl names.

I think it's a really cute name but I'd also think of Miley Cyrus because I've never heard the name used anywhere else.
Out of the other names I like Carly and Brynna.
I had the opposite problem - I couldn't think of any boy names I liked so I was happy when I found out it was a girl.
Not that you asked for them, but some of the girl names I liked were Lydia, Marissa, Callie, Maya, and Harper.
Miley makes me think of Hannah Montana. I woudl be hesitant on that one too.
Obviously, my favorite on your list is Brynna. I also like Carly and Kendall a lot. I had seriously considered Kendall or Kendra for DD, but her daddy and oldest brother have similar sounding names. Good luck.
I didn't come up with the name for DD until I was late in my third trimester. We had two other names picked, but once we found the name Brenna, we knew it was perfect for her. I think it happens like that, late in pregnancy, for lots of women. You still have time!
Agree with others that Miley is just Miley Cyrus and Carly is too close to Carson. What about combining Miley/Carly? I love Marley.
I don't think you'll escape the Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana bit for a long time. A few years ago, I had several students named Chelsea... know why? President Clinton took office the year they were born. And I have no Chelsea's this year.

Like hav2run said, you have lots of time. We didn't know B's name until 12 hours after he arrived.
This is exactly what bothered me about Miley....I immediately think Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montanna and I think everyone will be like, "Oh, like Miley Cyrus" and it will irritate me. It bothers me a little when I tell people C's name and they say, "Oh is he named after Carson Palmer?" Umm, no idiots, the name Carson was around long before Carson Palmer and not everyone in the Cincy area is obsessed with the Bengals. LOL
I like Carly but I'm sure it will get confusing around here because we sometimes call Carson Carse or Car Car and its just too similar.
I really like Kendall and am trying to get DH on board. He only kinda likes it.
Allibaba76 - I've brought up Marley but DH vetoed it b/c he thinks of the dog from the movie Marley and Me, LOL
We didn't decide on Carson until I was about 8 1/2 months so I'm sure it will take us awhile to pick out a girl name. Boy names are no problem for us. Just wanted to get some opinions and I really appreciate the honesty ladies!
I don't like the name Miley. But only because I associate it with Miley Cyrus. And I don't really like the spelling Mylee
I like the name Carly a lot. People may think you named them Carly and Carson on purpose, but I don't think it would be too confusing. I actually think it's kind of cute together.

Kennedy and Bailey are my favorites. Honestly I'm not fond of any of the others on your list. When I hear Miley I think of Miley Cyrus and when I hear Carly I think of iCarly.
ETA: Kennedy was actually one of our top 2 choices if Carter had been a girl so it will likely be on our list the next time around if we have a girl.

I realy like Miley, however wouldnt be able to use it b/c of the HM reference and I also dont think thats a name that grows well into adulthood. I really like the name Palin, but again couldnt pull the trigger b/c of the Sarah Palin reference. I like Carly, but agree, too matchy with Carson.
I really dont like Bailey. I like Lillan, the others are NMS.
Not a fan of Miley. It's too "little girl" for me and I really don't think it would age well.
I love Kendall and I think Carly would sound fine with Carson. I have a student named Caroline who goes by Carly.
I'm not a fan of Miley. It makes me think of teenage skanks who dance on poles. Sorry.
I really like Kendall though.
P.S. There's a boy in DD's 1st grade class named Miley. Who does that to their poor child?
I also think of Miley Cyrus and agree that it would look a little silly on a professional 40 year old woman...but thats JMHO. Out of the other names I like Lillian and Brynna...
Oh and FWIW one of my friends had a little girl named Carly and they just had a little boy and named him Carson (actually after Carson Palmer haha her DH is a HUGE Bengals fan) but I think Carson and Carly are really cute together and I like pp suggestion of Caroline and calling her Carly...I love the name Caroline
