cali_girl - question re:Baby's 1st Furniture Thanksgiving sale

I've seen you mention once or twice that you got your furniture around that time last year and received their sale price.  We are pretty sure which set we want and want to order by Thanksgiving weekend, at the latest.  Can you tell me what kind of sale it was, i.e. was everything on sale or just select items/brands and what % off for furniture?  We're willing to wait until that weekend if there is going to be a sale at either Baby's 1st or USA Baby, otherwise, we'll just order between now and then.

    We ordered a week or so before their 4th of July sale (I think).  They have a 2 week price guarantee, so I just called when that sale started.  They took my name and information and sent me a revised receipt with all the sales.  I saved another almost $200.  So, just buy within 2 weeks of their sale and then remember to call to get your price adjusted.  The sales person told me I could do this, so you might want to verify with them that they still have this policy.
    After 2 years and 6 IUIs, we did it with IVF w/ ICSI!

    I honestly can't remember the percentage but I want to say 5% off the glider and 10% off the furniture. I remember we saved quite a bit that they refunded back to us, over $200. Not everything is on sale, we bought our furniture two weeks prior (like Cajun mentioned, they honor sales within two weeks) because the sales lady said the discounts are all over the place. Some manufacturers offer % off and others offer a free item (toddler rails or the like). We knew what we wanted so bought it and hoped it would be reduced in some way and it was. Baby's 1st always has a black friday sale - you can call them now to make sure though they told us last year that they don't know what will be on sale until the week of Thanksgiving.

    I was just about to ask this same question! :) I was in the Sugar Land Baby's 1st store (they were SO nice!) last week, and they told me to go ahead and pick everything out, and then call in my order on Black Friday so that I don't have to deal with the crowds. Good to know that its not an across the board sale, maybe I'll have a few different things picked out just in case!
