Babies: 3 - 6 Months

S/O Inappropriate Facebook Photos

I've seen several potty training photos on Facebook and I don't get why people post them.  I know it's a big milestone and I understand that people would want to document it but I don't need to see pics of your kid sitting on the toilet.  Am I in the minority on this one?

Re: S/O Inappropriate Facebook Photos

  • I guess if the child isn't showing their privates, it might be kinda cute.

  • No, I think that's weird too.  Bath pics are one thing.  Peeing or pooping and taking a picture of it... weird.
  • I'm not a fan of posting bath or potty pics.  Too many weird-o's out there.

  • Totally agree.  I am not a fan of potty pics.
  • Def. not a fan! Ive also read where you can get in serious trouble posting bath pics, even if it is a pic of your 6 month old. There are some real sickos out there so I wouldnt dare.

I agree with this. Maybe kind of weird but my Mom has a picture of every one of us kids (she has 7) on the toilet. Absolutely nothing was showing so I don't see it as that big of a deal! I think the most embarrassing part of that picture to me now is that awful haircut (I had a bowl cut lol)!

I don't think it's that weird to take a potty training pic I just don't see why you would post it online.  I might think it was cute if it was a pic of my kid in an album or baby book but other people's kids, not so much.

I think it is weird. I have a FB friend that constantly displays her daughter potty training - sans underwear. It creeps me out. She also puts a lot of pics up of her kids (both DS and DD) shirtless wearing only their underwear.

  • This post reminded me of an episode of Jon&Kate+8 when they were potty training- she takes pictures of each kids 1st poo- not them on the "potty" but the actual poo- I found this gross!

  • I was waiting in the photo department at JC Penny's for my boyfriend. I had LO with me so I was sitting in the chair with her. The lady who runs the photo department was telling me about all of the deals they are offering. Then she started talking about her daughter and telling me when she reached certain milestones. She said "Yeah, I had her potty trained at a year and a half." She then grabbed a photo collage that was on display and it was professional pictures of her daughter sitting on a potty training chair with her pants down. I thought it was really strange, especially to have it on a table where anyone can come up and look at it.

    DD#1 is 3! And LO#2 is on his/her way! Due Feb 26th, 2014.
