NTR: Recommend your face moisturizer...

What face moisturizer do you use?  The one I've been using has salicylic acid, and has been drying out my skin pretty badly lately.  Any recommendations for something I could get at Target that doesn't cost a ton?

Thank you!

  • Thanks.  I will check it out.  I've always wondered what that was like.

  • I've been using Pond's for years.

  • Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer

  • After using expensive lotions forever, I found the regular old Oil of Olay with spf 15 is my favorite.

  • I don't know if it's specific to my skin type, but I use Ambi and I love it.
  • If you are prone to breakouts I wouldn't recommend OoO or Ponds. Cetaphil SPF 50 is a good drug store moisturizer. I'm also a fan of Aveeno Ultra Calming with SPF 15.
  • Believe it or not  Johnson and Johnson Pink baby lotion

  • Up&Up version of Oil of Olay. Same exact stuff, but about half the price.

  • Well I use Clinique dramatically different moisturizer.  I've used it since I was 13.  It's $22 a bottle but it always lasts me for 3-4 months so I don't think that is bad.

  • Oil of Olay Daily Moisturizer, SPF 15.  Dermotologist friend said it's actually one of the best out there, esp for the price.

  • After I wash my face, I use some witch hazel on a cotton ball and good ol fashioned ponds cold cream. It's never done me wrong and it doesn't break the bank.
  • Just be careful (with any new product I guess...)  I started using Oil of Olay as the season changed and my skin got worse.  I just thought I was really dry and reacting to the weather or whatever.  Turned out I was having a reaction to the moisturizer, made me so splotchy, and for awhile I just kept putting more on-lol.  I have no idea what it was but searched on the internet and found that many others have had the same thing happen.  I'm going to try some of the other recommendations you got to hopefully find something that's better for me..

  • I've used everything from the inexpensive Oil of Olay to $350 jars of LaMer. I don't see a difference honestly. I'd try the OofO if I were you (or the Target brand, which is the same thing).
