I'm trying to decide between this one:

or this one:

simply because the patterns go nicely with my kitchen/LR/DR decor. i would prefer a 'cloth' material, but those seem covered with even more questionable chemicals to make them stain resistant. I'm also not necessarily planning on buying it from either of these particular retailers, they were just the first that popped up.
Of course, I'm open to other suggestions-I can't really swing a stokke right now , and we have a bar height table anyway, so I'm not sure it would be high enough?!?
Re: What high chair do I want?
thats the one i'm leaning toward-i've always heard great things about their quality, and i found a deal where its only 15 dollars more than the graco-i'm thinking for such a high use item going with a better reputation would be smart. two questions though:
1. i've heard a lot of complaints about the 5pt harness-does it convert to a 3 pt only?
2. i was leaning toward the kasbah primarily b/c it had such rave reviews on its tiny folded size. space is still a premium in our 1br apt, so if it can disappear, it gets big points! how small does the polly fold?
1. You can definitely unsnap the shoulder straps for 3 pt. harness use. That's how we use it, actually.
2. We also live in apt and keep it folded up when it's not in use. IMO, it folds compact. I'm not sure of the exact dimensions though.
My only piece of advice is check for crevices... our first highchair was an Evenflo (not what I had registered for, but grateful I got one at all... I registered for a wooden hc) and it was great while dd didn't cry to feed herself (not long) but when she fed her self... OH THE MESS! There were crevices everywhere that I had to get at with toothbrushes and toothpicks regularly to keep the darn thing clean. Nasty. We got her the FP healthy something or other travel high chair around her birthday and then just switched her over. Now we were just going to suck it up and use the evenflo again for ds b/c we didnt' want to be wasteful... but mice got into our packaging of it while it was stored away in the garage. So we got him the FP Super Space Saver (which like the travel one connects to a dining room chair... don't know if you can spare a chair) It's great... still some crevices to dig at while cleaning but not as bad as the evenflo (simplicity, I believe it was).
So I definitely recommend looking at them in person first.
as far as patterns, I like the second one better. Both are super cute though.
