Recommend your truck...

For those who have trucks, can you recommend a good one? We are on the search for a new truck.....(right now we have a hummer and a Mazda Cx-7), but the Hummer was a lease and goes back in Dec. and my Mazda is starting to have some issues so I want to get rid of it before something major goes wrong...

Any ideas?

Re: Recommend your truck...

  • We had a Toyota Tundra that we leased and DH LOVED it. It was really comfortable to travel and gas wasn't any worse than an SUV. I'd recommend the new ones - they have the cool video cam for backing up too. :)

  • Currently I have  Jeep Patriot and it is too small for us.  I am trading it in for a Honda Odyssey tomorrow.  I will let you know how it is.
  • Don't know if this falls into the truck category, but we have a Jeep Wrangler 4-door and it's very roomy. We actually got it for camping/offroading, but it works really well for city driving also.
  • I have a 2009 Chevy Avalanche LTZ. It has every option available on a GM vehicle - back up camera, rain sense wipers, heated washer fluid, 2 DVD players, heated everything, moon roof, etc. Its my baby :)

  • We're a Tundra family also.  My mom has one and so does her boyfriend.  I don't actually have one but I often steal hers. Love it.  And it is the basic model, no additional options, it is a really great truck.  When we are towing trailers with toys, you can't even tell.  The new tundras have so much room in the back, it is like a Lincoln Towncar.

this! When I was looking at new cars, I looked into the new tundras- they are awesome. Def enough room for carseats. I went w/ a Volvo, because they gave mr a better deal & I love volvos. But DH really wanted a tundra. He drives a blazer right now, but his next car will 100% be a tundra. I drove a toyota and a ford when I lived on Catalina, and preferred the Toyota hands down. It handled the dirt roads so much better.

my dad gas GMC quad cab. It's very comfy and has all the upgrades, but I still prefer Toyota trucks to anything.

  • Wow, Toyota Tundra lovers!  I wonder how hard it would be to part that car is Queens, lol
  • I have a Toyota (4runner) and love it. DH has had his 2003 chevy silverado since it was new, has had no major issues with it at all, and it has held it's value really well.
  • We've been a Chevy/GMC family for DH's and my family's pickups growing up on the farm.  Dad loves his new GMC and he said he got a great deal on it.  DH's is a 2006 Z17 and nice room with the crew cab and all.  And it carries all we need, as well as manages the winters well.
