bf'ing moms and asthma meds?

i am having a bad flareup...my fam doc put me on a ton of meds (inhalers, nebulizer treatments, steroids, anti-biotics)  he claims my health outweighs any risk to the baby...i am totally not ok with that.  the pharnacy woun't give me any info.  does anyone have any experience with this?  i am checking out kellymom right now

    the inhalers and ned tratments I dont think are going to hurt since you just breath those in but the steroids and antibiotics, I would call your OB about those, even tho you need them. I have had asthma for 24 years and totally understand your concern. but yea I would call your OB and asthma doc if you have one. hope you feel better soon!

    Call your pedi and ask if you are concerned. I take Singulair for my asthma and Zyrtec for allergies. I also have an albuterol inhaler for emergencies. All are fine for pg and bfing. When I was pg, I also took Pulmicort bc my asthma was worse. Since it was fine while pg, I assume it is fine while bfing.

    I take Singular, Claritin, and albuterol (as needed). No issues.
