For those who have had a HSG done

How long did your Dr say to wait for sex? I had mine this morning, took 2 advil 30 minutes before and felt very little pain. The only cramping I had was the removal of the tube. The Dr did go very slow and told me what I might feel with each thing he was doing. He had been doing it for 25 years so I think I was very lucky by not feeling anything.

The doctor told me to wait 48 hours. Did you get your results?

My Dr will call with the results but they said "it looked pretty good". Not sure what that means. On my left tube, it wasn't flowing through well and he kept adding more dye. Eventually it started to flow. It was almost as if something was stuck in there and the dye pushed it through. They didn't say anything about waiting for sex and I forgot to ask. Thanks!

That's all they said to me too. I had it done at a radiologist and not with my regular doctor. I called them this morning to see if they were supposed to give me the results and the nurse said that they never give the results there, that they are supposed to be sent to my doctor. So, that made me feel better because yesterday everyone was saying they got their results right then. Good luck! Glad everything went well!

I wish I would have scheduled better so that my appointment wouldn't be on a Friday. Waiting through the weekend will be LONG! Maybe I'll get lucky and get a call late this afternoon, my Dr is pretty good about that.
