I posted the other day about scheduling an acupuncture apt to induce labor. The apt was a few hours ago, it was AWESOME. I'm feeling relaxed, mellow, zen. I was really stressed before, bc my dr scheduled an induction for Thurs, Nov 18th, at 5am. I made a second apt with the acupuncturist for Tuesday, in case this doesn't get things started. It feels like the baby has moved down a little more, and if it only helps with my mental state, it's been worth it. I also have the satisfaction of conquering a major fear (needles) and findng that I really enjoy it. I feel like I felt when I started snowboarding, and conquered the fear of sitting at the top of the hill and knowiing that I can either fall all the way down or board down, and just going for it. Feels amazing!!!!
Re: Acupuncture Induction Update
i did acupuncture with my first. i had 2 sessions in 3 days and went into labor the day after my second session (on my due date). it is SO relaxing and even if it's not what got labor going, it certainly made me feed good!
GL!
Yeah, I had three sessions in three days with my second pregnancy, and went into labor on the fourth day. It was pretty relaxing for me, too.
