That's the size jeans my son is wearing right now, 11 days shy of his first birthday.
I haven't put Eli in jeans or non-stretchy pants since this summer and his shorts. I didn't bother because they were so difficult to get on and off of his cloth diapered behind. I knew he'd be in a ridiculously big size and I'd have to hem/roll up the legs like crazy. My MIL keeps sending all these jeans, cords, etc in 2T, so I tried today to put something on him, seeing if I could find him a cute outfit for his party tomorrow.
2T didn't work over the cloth diaper. They fit him barely with a sposie on. 3T wasn't much better. I remembered MIL sent Samuel some 4T jeans that were on sale, even though Sam won't wear 4T pants until next year at the earliest (he's still in 2-3T). For sh!ts and giggles, I put them on Elijah. Bam. Perfect fit. I rolled up the legs and sent him on his way.
My one-year old officially wears bigger clothes than his almost 3 year old brother.

Re: 4T
Haha that's funny. He is gorgeous though! So cute.
He was 30.5 inches and 29.8 pounds at his 10 month check. I haven't weighed him since, but I'm thinking a pound or so heavier than that.
I guess it makes sense. The weight guidelines on the 4T pants said 33-39 pounds, and I'm sure the cloth diaper mimicks at least 2 pounds of extra padding.
I need to take a picture and show you guys the rolled up pants. It's the funniest thing ever. I must have rolled up 7 inches of pants.
Eli doesn't walk yet and I tell him everyday that he needs to start so mama can have a break. It's rough, I'm not going to lie. He goes into a stroller wherever we go. I can't walk around carrying him. By the end of the day, when I lift him into his crib for the final time, my arms are sore and I'm exhausted. The upside, though, I have serious muscles on my right arm!
Still the biggest newborn I've ever seen on the TB. 11 pounds, 10 ounces.
I think that's about how much Cora weighed when she was 4 months old!!
ouch!
Gymboree has jeans that run either 'husky' or 'slim'. Maybe you could try to find a smaller size in the husky. It may save some rolling : )
He sure is beautiful
