I'm gonna go onto drugstore.com and order some stuff needed for LO and I to have in the house when home. So far I already have infant tylenol, mylicon drops and vicks.
For me I have Lanolin craem...I've been reading different things to have in the house to help with the whole healing process after delivery like tucks pads. Did anyone use t his stuff.
What else would be a good idea to have?
Re: stock my medicine cabinet for me and LO
I would do the non-name brands for Motrin and Tylenol. I have returned so much Tylenol the past 24 months that my daughter has used due to recalls. I finally stopped getting it and switched to the Target brand. Motrin is a def. no-no on empty stomachs it just makes them throw up more. I also preferred Little Tummy products when it came to gas for her. They have all different types of stuff and it has been working great. I felt like the Mylicon never worked and smelled nasty. I could only imagine what it tastes like.
I wouldn't worry about Motrin in the beginning anyhow, LO's can't take it until after 6 months old if I remember correctly. I would just have the off brand tylenol.
Also, for those with boys who will be circumsizing I would stock up on vaseline as that is what our hospital had us put on the penis every diaper change so it wouldn't stick to the diaper.
Another good thing to have is the pre-moistened alcohol swabs to clean around the umbilical stump.
Of course every hospital is different and might tell you to care for these things in different ways, but that's what our hospital does.
alcohol swabs
gripe water
saline solution for infants for the nose
I have this sand it rocks https://nosefrida.com/
off brand Tylenol
Do you plan on BFing? If yes I would get nursing pads also.
Not needed for 100% but this tea is great https://www.tealand.com/MothersMilk.asp
If your baby will have colic/gas issues fennel seed tea will help. When you bf you drink it 2-3 times a day and it help the baby.
