January 2011 Moms

I am ready...

For Ashton  to be here.

1. Christmas Tree is up & all decor

2.  All Christmas gifts are bought

3. All meds for her/me are bought

4. Nursery is finished (pics as soon as bedding is in) all but bedding

5. Doctor is paid in full & I am registered at the hospital

Just waiting for my shower next weekend to see what I need to go pick up from that.  If I didn't have stepkids I would not have gotten all the christmas stuff out but now that it is out...i am getting excited! I just do not want to be that crazy preg woman doing everything last min & end up hurting myself or someone else. ;0)

Re: I am ready...

  • Wow, Y'all are better than me. I have decided not to decorate this year just because I know I won't want to put anything away after LO is here. I fear that I'll be too tired and I'll have decorations up way too long. I am putting out my Nativity scene but that is it. On top of that, I have nothing done, we don't have any furniture for LO and have just barely finished painting the room. My shower is at the end of the month so we'll see what we need to buy at that time. I just wish DH would start getting the furniture ready.
  • Ok so now I KNOW I am a total slacker!
  • That is SO impressive!!!  And I was proud of myself for buying some Christmas presents last week!  You are very inspiring.  :-)
  • I haven't started on ANY of those things.....
  • WOW! That's quite a list of accomplishments!  I've yet to start on the nursery.  That's our goal for this weekend - after my first shower.

WOW! I am impressed. And jealous. We've got some outside things causing us to not be able to start our nursery OR set up Christmas yet. BOO.

  • I'm getting there.  I think I have everything for her ready except washing what I got at my shower yesterday and sterilizing bottles and breast pump stuff (which I'm not in a hurry to do since I plan on bfing exclusively from the get go).  I have a couple of things to hang on the nursery wall, which I'm going to do this morning.  DH and I are putting up outside Christmas stuff today since it's so nice right now in Ohio.  We'll put up the tree maybe next weekend or so.

Kudos to you for having your bills paid already.  My dr. won't let me pay until after the delivery, but we have money set aside.  I just feel like I'll never feel completely done though until she's here.

  • Wow! You are awesome & way more motivated than I am! Good work :)
  • DH won't let me decorate for Christmas until after Thanksgiving. BUT he's gone this weekend..hehe!! I have plenty of time since I'm not due until the end of January but it's a good excuse to get the ball rolling early this year! LOL!

  • I wanted to get a start on Christmas decorations last weekend, but DH wants to wait until after Thanksgiving, so I figure that's good enough. Go you, though! Must feel nice to sit back and see everything done.
