DS is slowly starting to eat more table food, but I am getting scared to death about gagging/choking. If he likes something, he shoves the food in SO fast! Usually he is fine, but if it's any sort of bread product (breadstick, bread, pancake, etc) he often gags/chokes a bit and has too much in his mouth. I do cut it into small pieces and only give them those, it's not like I give him an entire pancake to just go crazy...
I know the easy thing would be to just give it to him slower, but he goes CRAZY! He will fuss or cry and not chew/swallow/eat what is left on his try until you put more on his tray, the little pig!
Anyone else dealing with this? Any tips?

That's how they learn. Babies gag and cough a lot when they are eating because they are learning how much food to put in, how to chew (gum) it, etc.
I know it's a little scary when they shove their mouth full and then gag, but 9 times out 10 they are OK.
DS does this too, and I've started putting just a couple of pieces of food on his tray. Sometimes he gets angry and throws it off, but for the most part, he's getting that he can't just shove a bunch of food in his mouth. I also try to give him sips of water between mouthfuls so that he takes a break, and can wash down the food, especially if it's a bread product.
