Hi ladies!
First of all, I must say you ladies are an AWESOME group of people! I have learned SO MUCH in the 3 months I've been lurking around, and you all have all ready helped me so much more than you'll ever know... even before meeting me! So THANK YOU for that!
A little about myself.... been married to DH a year this past August. Around that time we decided we'd start trying for our first baby. But basically, all we've done is "pulled the goalie" if you get my drift.
Needless to say, we have not been able to conceive thus far. I am not too worried. We're both fairly young (both 30) and healthy. I know we only have about a 20% chance each month, and that it takes many couples up to a year.
This world of charting and temping is SO new to me, and its been fascinating hearing all of your stories. Thank you for sharing such personal journeys.
Still, part of me does not know if I am ready to jump into that aspect of it. I doubt I could even temp properly. For one thing, I sleep under no less than 4 big blankets (even in the summer because DH blasts the air conditioning) and usually wake up sweating. Also, I get up many times a night (dog has to pee, I have to pee, DH disturbs me, dog disturbs me, etc). I am worried all this would throw me off.
I am also TERRIFIED of what the "scheduling sex" (for lack of a better term) would do to us. We have a great sex life, and I am scared to make it all about baby making. Whenever we BD around the time of O, I can't even Big O because my mind is too busy wondering "are we making a baby...?"
Anyway... I am sure I have rambled enough for my 1st post. Just wanted to say I was happy to be here. I don't know how much I can contribute in the wisdom & knowledge department, but am great for vibes & moral support! Looking forward to being a part of this community!
Re: Newb saying hi! (Longish)
I think that if you are willing to, you should TRY charting. I think that I wasted my first 7 months NOT doing it. I thought it was too hard, I didnt want to put the time into it etc...
BUT IM SO GLAD I DID! If anything, you can start charting your CM. You cant really know if you ARE actually O'ing, unless you temp. Just a little bit of stuff to think about.
With that, WELCOME! and I hope your stay is short and sweet
You can click on my siggy if you want to "try"charting!
First off, welcome and GL!
Second, I would try temping before giving up on it right away... you may be right, you might not be. I would also use OPKs... these won't garuntee that you O'd, but might give you a better idea.
Third, I wouldn't worry about whether or not you climax... they say it can help, but lots of women get KU without climaxing I'm sure.
Hope your stay here is short!

I just want to say charting is awesome, and a ton of your questions can be answered by the ladies on here by simply glancing at your chart.
As pp said-- forget about the big O. Sure-- it's helpful, but it's not mandatory in order to create a baby. ; )
GL!
Thanks all.... very good advice.
Maybe I will try charting and temping afterall. Today is CD1, so no better time to start I guess!
And definitely going to look into OPKs as well.
I will admit, I have a lot to learn about CM. Do a lot of you ladies use FF at work? I tried peeking around on it, but I am afraid some of the lingo on there might raise eyebrows if my work internet usage in monitored! LOL
One thing I forgot to mention is that I DO use Period tracker on my iPhone! LOL So I guess I am off to a start! That really just tracks my cycle days & symptoms though... so its probably not very accurate.
Hi there and welcome! I introduced myself just yesterday.
I am temping and charting just to figure out if I am in fact ovulating. My GYN said I may not be. Ugh. So I'm giving myself a head start. I haven't told DH though because I am afraid we will start planning sex. So for now I'm just paying attention and trying to learn more about my body.
GL!

Add your chart ticker to your siggy so we can stalk!
Gl and welcome, glad you joined us.
I use FF at work. I don't know, I figure there are worse sites I could log on to. There is a Fertility Friend iPhone app you can use if you're nervous. I'm assuming you haven't taken the tutorials on FF, which are emailed to you, and I'd recommend that.
TTC #2
Good Luck!
