MD made me nervous! (semi long)

So yesterday I had my 12 week appt. I was soo excited to get to hear the heartbeat on doppler - but no such luck. My uterus is still just a hair to low. On a positive note my heart beat is great j/k. Thats all we heard. Anyways... I asked the doc if everything was okay, he was like, yup. You had a great ultrasound 2 weeks ago, and everything seems good. See you in 4 weeks.

I was like... what the hell? 4 WEEKS? What if something is wrong? I'm sure it isn't my symptoms are fine (haven't had any throwing up, but the occasional nausea - and heartburn set in with a vengeance this week!).

I think it may be because I'm technically a couple days BEHIND the due date they gave me - closer to the 31st, but the baby measured big according to that date, so they moved me back up in dates... if only I'd have waited a couple days!

Everyone is telling me everything is fine. I'm also positive its fine because the doctor didn't seem the least bit worried, and he's one AMAZING OB. I don't know if its because I've already had 2 ultrasounds (one at 8 weeks for spotting, and one at 10 weeks for dating), so he didn't want to push our luck with insurance or what.

On an extra note - semi freaking out that I've gained 4 pounds already! AHH!

Appointments in the beginning seem so far apart. 4 weeks is normal.

And no worries, I gained 4 pounds between my first and second appointments. WTH!

My appointments are all 4weeks apart until the very end. It's hard to wait so long, but I just keep focusing on all the little things happening that are not normal- the nausea, growing belly, exhaustion, etc. Don't worry, baby is still growing!

My appointments are 4 weeks apart right now too. I just had my first u/s this week. It's definitely hard to wait, but be thankful that you don't have to go more often!

Once a month is totally normal. There's really nothing for the doctor to do at this point. Going in more often really won't change anything.

Yep. My last appointment (my first) was at almost 9 weeks, my next one is Thursday at almost 13 weeks. Totally normal. I don't even get my first ultrasound until then!

It seems soooo long between though! Maybe the holidays will make it go by faster though.
