where to have post baby sex?

When DS was in the bassinet in our room we just went to the guest room...and since DS just got out of our bed 6 months ago, the guest room was pretty much the champagne room in our house :0)

I don't think I would want to have sex with the baby in the room....definetly not on the bed! But we do have a bassinet in the room and we will have her in the room for a couple months. I think it would more likely happen in the living room or something while she is napping rather then in the room with her at night.

The baby will likely be in its crib by 3 months, so I don't care if we have sex while he or she is sleeping. I mean, the dog lays on the floor while we do the deed, what is the difference?

There will be NO romps with baby in the bed. Oh no way!

If baby is awake, we will have to put it off or move, I can't do it with anything awake in the room.

See...that makes sense to me. Seems super weird to me to have sex with your child in the room with you. In fact, some would consider that illegal even though it's not their intent to expose the child to sexual acts, that's basically what they're doing. Just because they are asleep or too young to remember, doesn't mean it's not creepy. A 3 year old might not remember when they are 10, but that doesn't make it ok!

I think that would be an idealtime for DD to nap in her crib. OR we'd go to the guest room. DH doesn't even like the cats in the room when we have sex! Lol! But even if he weren't such a prude, I'm gonna have to say a BIG 'ol no to sex with LO in the room though.

Call me creepy but I don't see the issue with doing it in your bedroom if LO is asleep in their own bassinet. I guess I really won't know until we get to that point but I don't think that's a big deal.

We don't even do it with the cat in the room. The last thing I want is a whisker tickling my asscrack! LO will either be in her room or we'll go in the guest room, kitchen, bathroom, guest room, couch, steps.. where ever she isn't.

I think of it like this...I wouldn't have sex with an adult or young child asleep in the room, so why is it ok to do with an infant there? They may be very young, but they are still a person that shouldn't be exposed to sexual acts between other people.

I'm not saying I'm going to be riding H while LO is in his bassinet awake and staring at us but for a short period of a time the baby will sleep like, all the time, right? They won't even see anything. If my kid is to the point where they can actively watch me doing something then I won't be having sex in the same room. So I guess I'm talking about a small amount of time here.

p.s. I've had sex when other adults were in the room. I'm naughty Devil

We'll be in a new apartment so I can't wait to have sex everywhere! We'll actually have ROOMS!

But even though the baby won't notice, I think it would be awkward having sex with a baby sleeping in the room....so that won't be happening.

This. I don't see a problem with it either. Now, a PP brought up a 3 year old not remembering anything...that's creepy to have sex around a 3 year old. But a 3 month old? They are going to have no idea what's going on. I think anything under a year old is fine if they are asleep (I personally wouldn't get busy past 6 months or so in the same room though).

If i'm lucky enough to be feeling frisky and not exhausted i'd rather do it in the bed then have to sneak off to another room like we're doing something wrong. Just saying.

No loving with the pups in the room, so most likely none w/ the baby either. I don't think DH could handle it, even w/ the kiddo asleep in the cradle.

P.S., We've had sex w/ other adults in the room too, naughty! Wink

So just to play devil's advocate...would you have sex in front of an adult that was in a coma? They are not aware of what's going on either.

I'm also the same girl who hasn't gotten any since the last time we tried a couple of months ago and I felt LO move during it. Totally messed with my head and the moment was gone!

LOL that was one of the responses on the 0-3 thread that got me laughing too.

I'm sure we will have LO in their crib for the small amount of time it will take for us to have some sexy time. I don't know how I'll feel after LO is here, but for right now I'm in the boat of not doing it while they are in the room.
