North-end Dog Boarding Recs?

We are flying to visit my ILs in a few weeks (after Thanksgiving) and need to find a spot to board our chocolate lab. Do you girls have any suggestions for a northend boarding facility you have had a good experience with (or heard good things from friends)?

I'm looking into Great Dog, Paws-a-Moment, Doggy Haven, and Bow Wow Fun Towne. So, if you have any insight on those, I'd love to hear it as well.

Thanks!!

  • We have boarded at the Canine Country club and Cattery (https://www.ccckennels.com/ ) many times. We liked them a lot, and came recommended by our vet.

  • We used Doggy Haven a few times and liked them. They book up fast so you may want to check to see if they are available.

  • I reccomend Roscoes Ranch, but it's in woodinville. They are great though. Lots of my old clients took their dogs there. They do fill up super fast. Great Dog is popular but I don't have any recent reviews about them. Where ever you decide to send your pup I wouldn't delay any longer making a reservation. The good places fill up fast this time of year.

  • We take our dogs to https://www.paradisepetlodge.com in Woodinville. I don't know if it's far enough N for you though.

I also highly recommend Roscoe's Ranch. It's SO worth the drive. We drive from Maple Valley because they take such good care of Bailey. They just recently won the "Best Pet Sitting" category in the Evening Magazine Best of Awards. Check them out: https://www.roscoesranch.com

  • I would not leave my dog at Bow Wow Fun Towne.  If you need specifics just PM me.

We have also used Paradise for the past 3 years and have always had a great experience with them.

  • When I lived in N. Everett I used https://www.wagoninn.com/ for my dog (I only had one dog at the time).  He loved it there, I think I used them twice before I moved out of the area.  He came back happy and tired.  The lady who ran the place was very sweet.  When I arrived to pick him up he was in the office with her on her lap, she said that he spent much of the time with her since he is such a quiet guy.

  • We use Doggy Haven and LOVE IT. Our dog runs through the front doors and never looks back, she even knows the gravel driveway and starts to get all excited. They are super friendly and we have been extremely pleased with the service. They are pretty accommodating, you can bring your dogs favorite toys (some places won't let you bring toys) and a bed, and pretty much anything your dog loves. We have also used the grooming service, we have them bathe her the morning of the day we are coming home so she is nice and clean which is an excellent bonus. :)
  • I have also heard good things about Bone-a-Fide Dog Ranch in Bothell, I haven't used them myself but my in-laws use them a lot.
  • Our dog didn't seem happy at Bow Wow Fun Towne either. We didn't board her there, but we took her to day care a couple times. On her third day there they literally had to drag her back to the daycare area. It was really sad, and we didn't bring her there again.

Now when we need to board her we take her to Happy Hound Hotel and she LOVES it.
