    Congrats!  That is so exciting.  Let me know if you need a referral to a realtor - I deal with them all the time and have met the good, the bad and the ugly!!!  I used one for two purchases and strayed and went with a friend of my husband's for the third purchase - big mistake!

    We are lucky to have really good family friends that have been realtors in the SW market for 30 years. They have helped find and sell for a lot of folks that I know (including my parents). Thanks though!

    Awesome! I loved the house hunting process! Congrats on making this move :) I felt so proud of myself when we bought our house 3 1/2 years ago. I think you will find some really great homes out there! What are you looking for in a house?

    Good!  When you have a winner - stick with them, I learned my lesson trying to use a friend :o(

    I would recommend looking in my neighborhood, or in the ones nearby.  Zilo should show the houses currently listed.  The neighborhood is called Remington (at the corner of saltzman and thompson rds).  There's also a newer neighborhood connected to ours that has some nicer/larger houses.  Our neighborhood is right across the street from an elementary school (all the kids get to walk to school).  It's also a Portland address, but still in washington county.  20-25 minute drive to downtown, either through the west hills or by taking 26.  26 is about a 5 minute drive.
