I witnessed awesome snark today

A fellow infertile (nurse) who went through numerous failed IUIs was talking to me this morning about what her IVF protocol would've been if she had not gotten miracle BFP (her son is 2).  Another co-worker overheard & of course piped in "Oh, maybe you'll be lucky just like M & not need IVF.  You know, I have a friend..." at which point M piped up & continued her sentence "who magically got pregnant after she stopped trying".  The woman just stared @ M & said "You know Maria?".  M replied "I know all of them, actually."  FYI M is Latina (born & raised in Puerto Rico) so she actually does know *a lot* of women named Maria.  Other lady didn't get the humor in it & left the room.  At this point I felt my pumpkin spice latte coming out of my nostrils.

    I might not be all that welcome on here, but I had a look today on this board and have to say that your story is awesome! "I know all of them, actually." Love your friend M. 

    I'm sure all the "well-meaning" comments and anecdotes drive you batshit crazy. Sure doesn't help to hear about someone's cousin when your lady system is being totally uncooperative.

    I took a peek at your blog, too, and wish you and DH the best of luck. The Kite Runner is such a powerful book for so many reasons, and hopefully he will read it and plant that seed of adoption consideration.
