I want a baby so badly...

I'm willing to give up skiing for the season! What will you happily give up??

Re: I want a baby so badly...

  • I'm giving up my fall and spring marathons, and I've cut my running mileage way down... and that is a huge deal for me.

ETA: And I wouldn't say that I am happily giving it up, but getting pregnant is my number one goal.

  • Anything...movies, movies were the biggest thing with DS. DH and I used to see a couple a week, not so easy with a newborn. While pregnant, I'm one of those who gives up chocolate, pop, soft-serve ice-cream, deli meat, etc. I know the odds, but I feel calmer throughout the pregnancy just not having them. Last time around I ate a milk dud at the movie theater then burst into tears because I ate chocolate (caffeine, lol), so I didn't touch it again. Pregnancy hormones are no fun! (but totally worth it)
  • I would give up anything just to have a baby well for the exception of my husband! LOL!
  • coffee, drinking, going out, anything!

  • I've already weaned myself off of coffee, my hair is no longer blonde (boo), I will record my late night shows, gladly give up alcohol, I won't go sledding down snow mountain, I'll puke up everything I eat and only complain a little...pretty much anything I need to give up!
  • I will happily give up sleeping in on the weekends and sleeping through the night, if it means I get to wake to my baby in the next room.  I can't wait to stop drinking alcohol, gain weight and be nauseous too :)

  • *Sigh* Horses, coffee, and beer are kind of my whole life right now, and all 3 will have to go.  I have to admit I feel some anxiety about giving up the riding/showing/training, essentially my whole career, at least for a while.  But it really will all be worth it :)

I have head that it's not advised to have them when KU as the fumes (while getting them done) "may" affect you. That and once you have a LO, you don't want long nails as you will be constantly cleaning gunk out of their eyes & don't want to poke them.

Honestly, though, getting my nails done is the only pampering I'm doing to keep myself sane right now. Once I get KU, I'll just grow them out or take them off but not until then !

  • I'll give up whatever it takes. If someone said to me "you'll only get pregnant if you eat nothing but cow pies," I'd invest in a good pair of nose clips and start eating.

The smell of a tomato will instantly make me throw up. I'll gladly go to the grocery store pick out the biggest tomato and eat it like an apple if I could get PG.

  • Playing football. DH and I play in coed two hand touch and flag leagues and I would be out for two seasons. Not to mention I found out last month I made the areas Independent Womens Football Team with tackling, full pads, etc. I was excited that I made the team and also a little bummed because of the timing...if only this was known a few years ago I would be playing. I know I am weird, but I LOVE playing!!
