I had my first drs appointment on Thursday and my dr suggested taking a baby asprin a day to help my chances of not getting preeclampsia again. Has anyone heard of this or tried it themselves???
I didn't have preeclampsia with DS (cause of my early delivery is unknown), but they "think" it might have been a clotting issue, so I am on one baby aspirin daily.
Yes. We saw a MFM prior to becoming pregnant with DD #2 and he said that taking a baby aspirin starting early in pregnancy has been proven to delay the onset of pre-e (not necessarily prevent).

i took a baby aspirin every single day of my pregnancy & still had pre-e/HELLP syndrome that started around 27 weeks & caused delivery at 28.5 weeks so i am not convinced that it helped a whole lot.
my mfm had me start baby aspirin before we ttc. Then he switched me to Lovenox at about 2 months to try and help w/ pre-e. However the only reason he switched me to Lovenox was b/c after ds#2 the did a biopsy on the placenta and found a bunch of malformations and clots which they believe are from a blood clotting disorder. They did test me for blodd clotting disorders but it came back (-) but my mfm feels these were false (-) and that I will benefit from Lovenox. So far everything is great but I'm still early. I'm nervous for when I hit about 28 weeks b/c that is when my bp started creeping up w/ ds#2.
I was on BA with my pregnancy with Robbie. I can't say if it helped or not. I delivered at 26w2d due to severe pre-e/hellp. Maybe w/o it, it would have been earlier, but it obviously didn't get me anywhere near term.
My doctor just put me on baby aspirin but they said it was because they saw notching on the U/S which means I could have high blood pressure later in my pregnancy. They didn't mention anything about pre-e.
