"She has different priorities now"

My facebook status is "Let's fast forward to Thanksgiving." My sister was here tonight, and she is always concerned that I am having an emotional breakdown so she asked me what my status was about. I said I am just looking forward to the days off since I have to work from 7 AM to 11 PM Friday and I am just dreading it (ok, ok, I am also hoping I am KU and that would be a great time to tell my immediate family--those who knew about the mc).

So my DH is there and feels the need to elaborate on my explanation. He told her "A year ago she would have been so excited for the dodgeball tournament she is running but this year she is dreading it. She has different priorities now." How very insightful DH.

I also showed him my friend's 6 week US picture, which made him ask me how far along we were at my awful US. I told him "10 weeks, if we had one at 6 weeks we could have seen our baby alive." Which led him to reply "That makes me mad, why does she get one this early and we didn't." Sigh DH, I would have love to see Alex when he was alive too...
