We took DS to the pedi today because he has just not been acting like himself the past few days. He has been fussy and having monster meltdowns to the point where he is inconsolable.
Anyways, the pedi said he didn't think it was teething. He asked us if we knew when we had started teething because apparently a child usually starts teething around the the average of the times their parents did. Interesting, but I don't know how factual it really is.
Re: Interesting "Fact" about teething from pedi
My Mom told me that my sisters and I were early teethers and funny enough, my sisters twin boys cut their first tooth at 4 months and my DD cut her first 2 bottom teeth at 4 months, 3 weeks. So there might be some truth to it.
I had heard this before.
According to my baby book I cut my bottom 2 teeth at 8 months, so we'll see if that holds true for LO. No idea when my H cut his first tooth.

Challenged Soy and tolerated it.
I don't know when I actually teethed since being the 5th child, my mom was done keeping track of milestones in a baby book. I do know I was born with a tooth but I don't think that has anything to do with teething.
Wish I knew
So what would happen if mom was a late teether but dad was an early teether? Would LO be a "middle" teether?
