? for those with Britax convertible seat...

We are installing it today for our DD.  We bought the Britax Boulevard 70.  The insert on the bottom reads to take it out when LO can sit comfortably.  DD does not sit unassisted yet but I think she looks more comfortable w/o it when we sat her in it.  DH thinks it should be left in until she can sit unassisted or until she is older (she's just about to turn 6 mo).  The manual is not specific.  When did you decide to take yours out and why?

    Is it reclined all the way?  When rear facing, it needs to be fully reclined, sort of at a 45 degree angle.

    Are you talking about the infant body pillow?  We elected to remove ours.  Our son does sit unassisted but it was more because he is a big guy and looked far more comfortable in the seat without it installed. It also seemed easier to get him positioned correctly in the seat and to buckle him up when the body pillow was removed. 

    I would just see which way gives you a better fit with the straps, etc.  I don't think it is right or wrong to remove it. It is a personal choice.

    We started using our Boulevard before LO could sit unassisted and I didn't use the pillow.  It seemed so crowded and uncomfortable, plus it looked like it made him kinda slouchy.  I don't think it makes a difference if your LO can sit on their own or not.
