New baby habit

in Babies on the Brain

Hes been sucking/gnawing on my chin. Not hungry just bored. Wont take the boob, hates pacifiers. If im holding him/laying with him etc he pulls himself up and latches on to my chin. Weird.

What does it mean?

teething maybe? it hurts!

    I don't know why he's doing it, but if it were my situation, I'd be breaking that habit asap.

    oh i am trust me! its just weird that he started it so fast and is so adamant about doing all of a sudden.

    No advice, but when Jack was just a few days old, my husband leaned in to give him a kiss and Jack latched onto his nose.  We nearly died laughing.

    Jake used to do this. I got a few hickeys on my chin from that. Then he  would do it to my nose...then he let me know he had a tooth by biting my nose.
