I just saw an episode where a lady was naked in front of all of her family. That would disturb me and I would die right there of embarrassment. She obviously didn't care and was walking around naked lol. She did a water birth and as soon as her daughter popped out I screamed "F*** that!" involuntarily. Ahhh now I'm scared to have this baby!!!

Re: Watching A Baby Story was a mistake
Eeeww, it kills me when I watch that show and the like 2 year old older brother/sister is in the delivery room like
Ugh I just feel like watching your mother go through labor might be emotionally scarring.
P.S. every time I read one of your post, I just feel so bad for you cuz I know that you're sitting in that hospital room, just killing time, you must be a really strong person!

Lol! I just laughed really loud!! It blows but it's really worth it, especially after seeing how long I've been here. I really don't want to ever have kids after this though, it ruined the whole experience.
I agree, it's just too weird for me. The baby just kinda...flows out. I think I'm a pregnant masochist though because if it's on at an interesting part of the show I have to watch it
Oops, double post
Yep same here. I'm just not sure how I feel about floating around in my own fluids for any length of time.
I agree with water births grossing me out. Especially when the husband/baby daddy gets in there with her. Ew. Not only are you sitting in that nastiness, but your husband is too?
Also why do you need to be completely naked? You can't wear a tank top/bra/nursing bra/bikini top? You don't need your boobies hanging out everywhere.
I cringe whenever I see the pregnant woman's dad in the delivery room too, even if they're not naked or doing a water birth. Sorry, but I don't want my dad seeing what's going on down there. He can come visit after the baby is born and I'm stitched up and stuff. Just awkward and weird to me.
Ok ive not watched this episode yet, and i have not seen a water birth at all.. not sure i want to, and with that said... how awkward to have a bunch of random people in to watch you give birth naked?? just weird. And i agree my dad would never be considered to be one of people in the room with me. just not right.
I agree.
I did not want my mom or anyone else in the delivery room with DS. My Mom knew when I went in and I told her I would call her when I was ready for visitors. When it ended in a c section I called her. She and my sister were there before I was wheeled into the recovery room. As soon as my older sister knew I was settled and covered the nurses no longer could keep her out. She had to make sure I was OK which was very sweet. I am glad that I no longer have to deal with the whole "who will be with you" They let my husband in. That's it. This time I am not even eager to see anyone right away. I want to see my daughter and son and husband and thats it for the first day.
