My husband went to the dr yesterday,a different dr that he normally goes to,and his BP was 140/100 1st time they took it,and 141/100 2nd time, and his pulse both times was 97.The dr told him after he had to ask her what about my BP,because he went there because he's been having shooting pains down his neck and arm,and the dr told him the BP was no big deal,no big deal, that's pretty high isn't it?The nurse even said they'll probably do an EKG on u but they didn't.Plus for the pains in his arm all the dr gave him was muscle relaxers and no pain pills ,and he told her the pain sometimes goes up to a 9-10 scale.I'm really thinking about calling the office and complaining to them,i work in health care too so i know the Bp is high. His BP is usually when taken around normal-borderline.WWYD if this was your husband or someone u knew,do u think he should go to a hospital because of his arm pain,he has had it since Sat am,and he said today it is the worst it's been.
Re: Blood Pressure ?
I would either to to the hospital or another primary care physician. 140/100 is higher than normal. My doctor prescribed me a medication after taking mine and monitoring it for a week to find that it's range is consistantly between 137/90 - 147/105.
I think he needs a second opinion!
