- the boys each have one tooth!
- the reason I know this is because Ben's mom is watching the boys today and she just called Ben to tell him about it.
I feel like an incredibly crappy parent for not noticing this before she did.
I know we've all been really sick so checking for teeth has been the last thing on my mind for the last week, and I know there's a good chance I'll miss more milestones (crawling, walking, talking, etc.) but it's still made me sad that I missed seeing this first, you know?
Blah.
Re: :) and :(
Awww =( Are you sure it didn't just break out today? If so, you didn't miss much since it just happened couple of hours ago. But honestly, I have to make an effort to check LO's gums whenever I can, which ends up being like twice a week because I never see it cuz his lips are in the way! So I just have to remember and it's hard. I know that if/when I finally see it, I will question whether it really came in that day or not the couple of days between when I last remembered to check and when I checked again...
this, exactly!! the only reason why i even knew to check her gums was b/c i saw a few others mention (either here or on FB) that after a night of wakefulness, their LO had a tooth! since she has been STTN for a while, whenever we have a rough night i will check her gums the next morning to see if a tooth poked through...i can never see it very well when it first pokes through, i can only feel it. it's so hard to see anyway b/c she won't sit still or open her mouth for me! but honestly it is always just barely poking through that i wonder when it really happened...it's so hard to know but really i do not think that you should feel bad about not checking, esp w/them being sick and all...

My Food Blog - Good Eats 'n Sweet Treats
Thanks ladies...I know it's really stupid lol - it's just one of those things where my kneejerk reaction was, "I should have found that!"
I think a small secret part of me is also worried that I'll have to hear the "Yes, *I* found their first teeth!" story from MIL a thousand times. I'm a bad DIL.
