Pregnant after a Loss

37w Apt Update... *sigh*

"Well... you're cervix is a bit lower. But you're still hard & closed"

Well FINE THEN! haha. I was hoping for a bit more progress, but I suppose he just needs to cook a bit longer.

Though, got home and noticed some very light spotting...and I've got some cramping too...  I wonder if he started something while doing the internal? Doubtful. But a girl can hope.

I'm trying SO hard not to be impatient. *nods*

  • Judging from the snow outside, this would be just the time for one of us to go into labor. .

  • I know girl, believe me I'm trying to move things along.  Drinking raspberry tea like it's my job, went to acupuncture and the chiropractor yesterday and a massage tonight where he did some pressure points.

Part of me doesn't want to have the baby until after Thanksgiving.  My family is stressing me out and my MIL will be staying here for Thanksgiving and I don't want her here when we come home from the hospital.  I spoke to my doctor about being induced and it looks like it may be Nov. 28th or 29th.  I tried for the 27th, but the doc said there is a skeleton crew at the hospital after Thanksgiving and he prefers not to.

I'm hoping something happens before I have to be induced, but Thanksgiving is really stressing me out.  I know it shouldn't but it does.

  • Ughhh....sorry.  Well, at least there was SOME progress.

LAst week I had my first internal and he said my cervix was really high, unusually high.  I had remembered you posting the day or so before that your dr. said your cervix was high.  So I'm thinking its' just a normal thing and it moves down??  Is that what happens?  Is that a ridiculous question that I should know the answer to?

not ridiculous because I don't know either!

I suppose maybe that's part of the "dropping" process, not just baby dropping... but everything else dropping?! haha just a guess.

  • I know how frustrating it is not to have any progress but remember that it's not always a gradual change. It can literally change overnight. The cramping and spotting is very common after an internal.
