We went in, and everyone goes through the ER to get checked in. So I tell the guy I'm pregnant and theres a long line behind me and he says "oh good, so you are pre-registered?". So, Charlie at the ER check-in desk, I am sorry that I put off doing my paperwork and made more work for you this morning.
Once we were checked in we went up to L&D to my room, it was pretty nice. The nurse was super nice, got me all checked in and hooked up. Then luckily my doctor was at the hospital, so she had her come in. Dr said she was sure it was nothing, but just to be safe she wanted to check my cervix. They tell me to just breathe and practice the breathing techniques I've learned (haven't gone to classes yet), and I'm thinking to myself 'its just a speculum, right?'. Well yeah, but holy crap that hurt! She said cervix was good long and shut, but did look irritated. Not sure why it would look like that since the last time anything was up there, it was to put the baby in there.
So then she swabbed it to test for preterm labor, and said I could go as soon as that came back. So about thirty minutes later when the lab was supposed to be back and I could go home, they tell me that I am contracting. Which, I thought I might be because I could feel the cramps, but couldn't see the monitor. So then I got a shot of something that made me really shakey for a while. Then had to wait until my doc got out of surgery to release me, and here I am.
I never did get an IV, but I've been drinking plenty of water the whole time, and now my belly is feeling better. Thanks everyone for all the well wishes ![]()

Glad everything is ok. Just keep drinking lots and lots of water.
