  They can go in it whenever in the facing-you mode.  They should have good head control (~ 4 months) to face out.

  You can start using it at 8 weeks.  I think we faced Jude out when he was a little over 2 months old.. he was/is strong!

  I've gone on a few walks with DD already! I just make sure her head doesn't wobble around.

  I believe they only have to be 8lbs and 20 inches, if I'm not mistaken, as long as they are facing you and you use the leg loops.
  I put DD in it when she was about 4 weeks old.

  It goes by weight. They need to be 8 lbs. according to the box to use it facing in and have good head control to use it facing out.
