  • she is too cute!!  i'm sooo jealous that she's sitting already... I've been keeping my figures crossed for Preston to be sitting by his 6 month pics but they are in less than two weeks and I'm not optimistic... he can tripod sit, but he's still wobbly.

We started practicing sitting around 3 months, just holding her on the floor between our legs.  We'd let her tip and land on one of our thighs so she's learn cause and effect.  Pretty soon she'd self-correct as she started to tip.  We sat with her and played for about 20 minutes every day (5 minutes at a time, usually) and by her 4-month birthday, she was sitting unassisted.  She'll still tip over occasionally if she gets distracted or tries to lean to reach something, but for the most part she's a pretty good sitter.  Good luck!

She's on my lap and as soon as I scrolled down to your post she saw Mason's pic and started squealing.  I think we may have something here...
