So I just thought I would share since I know we're all starting to think ahead to christmas presents. Jeremiah got a big wheel for his birthday (he turned 2) and he LOVED it! I mean LOVED! it! He can't quite reach the pedals yet, but he loves to sit on it and move his feet, so he's getting around on it. The girls loved riding it too. They still fit on it and can pedal it just fine. They're tall for their age too. So, if you're looking for a gift for a 2 or 3 year old I think this would be a good idea because it would last for a couple of years. Radio Flyer is making them these days, they have them in red and pink and it was only $34 at walmart.
My girls requested roller skates for their birthday, but the ones we got didn't fit and they didn't have the right size when we took them back. So instead they picked out an easel that is chalk board on one side, dry erase board on the other side and both sides magnetic and it comes with letters and numbers. All 3 kids LOVE this! They play with this more then anything I have ever seen them play with. It was at toys r us for $35. They also had a great starter kit with paper, paint, markers, crayons, colored pencils and I can't remember what else, but a great starter kit for only $20. I think this would be a great toy for age 2 or up. (Maybe for a 1 year old, but not sure about that). My only suggestion would be to try and find some odor free dry erase markers (i haven't had time to look yet so I don't know if these exist?) because the dry erase markers that we had here have an AWFUL smell to them!
Another favorite gift they got at their party were "Fur Real" pets. All 3 of my kids loved these and love to pretend they're really their pets.
Ok, hope that helps someone.
