poop scraper?

Is there some kind of magical tool out there that will make this easier? Right now I'm just using a sprayer/tp and its pretty darn yucky. Thanks!

Re: poop scraper?

  • Some use plastic knives, but I personally found that a bit too ishy for myself (the storage, etc).  I mainly use another part of the diaper or fleece liner.  If I can't get it off with that I resort to the TP.  Not ideal - I can't say I'll be sad when DS is PLed.  And how I love the entirely ploppable poops!!

  • I swear by the plastic knife - you use it to loosen one corner and the rest just kind of falls away, its magical Wink.  I keep it on plastic in a drawer in the cupboard so no prying hands get to it and its mess is somewhat contained.  I will also note that you really don't have to worry about getting every last bit especially at 7 months.
  • We always used a plastic knife, then wiped the knife off with a wipe or TP before storing it.

Eureka. I think I have just discovered my new way to scrape. I was alternating between using a spatula thing and TP. The TP doesn't work and the spatula was always nasty. I was missing the key step of wiping off the spatula with TP.

  • We use a slightly flexible kitchen spatula and wipe it off with tp.  Works really well for sticky poo that won't plop.
