Yup - DH and I took the one day course. It was a long day, but overall informative. I can't remember everything that was covered, but it was good to get a feel for the hospital. I remember they covered the different stages of labor. They also showed some really outdated videos. They practiced different positions to try and tolerate labor as well as some breathing techniques. I felt like I was pretty knowledgable prior to the class, but I think it was good for DH to hear it and get prepared.
I agree with Bubs06- it was nothing new for me, but probably a little helpful for DH. I was disappointed that they did not cover C-sections much at all as I was hoping to have an elective C, but I went into labor early. Otherwise, a lot of basic information on the whole labor and birthing process. I think the best take away was call the doctor when the contractions are 5 mins apart for 1 hour.
