Did you do anything to keep your LO away from the Christmas tree? We think Evan may be crawling soon and he already tries to pull up (from a laying position) on everything around.
DH is convinced Evan is going to pull the tree down even if we try to keep an eagle eye on him, so we are looking at some options. I have seen people put a SuperYard around the tree, but was wondering if there were any other suggestions.

Re: Christmas tree question
We struggled with this, debating if we should just decorate out of her reach or what and finally decided we will put small, plastic ornaments down below with a little bell. When she gets close, we will say "how about this instead" and move her towards something else. I want her to learn to stay away from the tree because we can't expect our friends and family to change their tree for our little rugrat.
Will it work? Who knows but that's my plan.
change crawler to very mischievous walker and this was us!! i was very surprised that we had no issues.

I agree with PPs we had no issues the last 2 years. Last year he occasionally tried to take an ornament off but pretty much stayed away from the tree.
This year, I don't think we will have room for a tree since we put a huge curio type piece where we had put the tree last year.
we did non breakables on the bottom half. If your fear is him actually pulling the tree down can you secure it to the ceiling? Growing up it's how my dad would correct really crooked trees
. That's what happens when you buy them on christmas eve.
I have a very vivid memory of my mother doin this, in 1979, with fishing wire. Like you said, it was very last minute--like a couple of days before Christmas--and she was so grouchy because she couldn't get it straight. By the time she was done, she refused to put lights on it because she didn't want to deal with it. lol
