Preconception Questions to ask doctor?

Hi!  My fiance and I are going to stary trying to conceive after we get married and I have a doc appt tomorrow for a preconception consultation.  What are some good questions to ask?  I have a small list already started but I'll take some suggestions!  I can't wait for the future! Big Smile

    You should ask for a hands on demonstration.  That way you'll know if you're doing it right.

    Ask her to recommend a Prenatal Vitamin for you to take.  You should be taking one the entire time you TTC! 

    I've heard alot of women whose Dr. prefer them to take a perscribed one instead of one over the counter.

    I use Target brand and I have no problems with it.  Heads up alot of Women say the Women's One A Day will upset their stomach.

    If you are unsure if you are up to date on immunizations your doc can do blood work to verify. Most adults are, but if you are not you'll have to get the immunizations and your doc will tell you a waiting period before TTC, usually 3 months or so.

    You may also want to ask about genetic testing... your doc will probably bring this up. It's really great just to make sure your baby has the best chance at being as healthy as possible. GL !

    click on the "getting pregnant" link.  there is a pre conception check up list.

    Me: 32  H: 34
    DS #1: 8/10/11,  DS #2: 10/13/14
    TTC #3 since October 2017
