We saw some clips from the video at one of our classes which prompted us to buy the book. I don't think I would have sat down at home and watched an entire DVD of it. But that's just me. We bought the book and referred back to it quite a bit during the first several months. My recommendation would be for the book.
Yep the video is only about 30-45 min long. And if nothing else teaches you a good swaddle. We just checked it out from our local library. I also read part of the book afterword and felt I was just a repeat.
I think the video was only half hour long. And FWIW, none of those techniques worked for K. Babies are so crazy.
They certainly are, aren't they? I can only hope SOME of the things I'm learning will work in some fashion.
I was just talking to a friend about this book. She said, "I am so glad I watched that movie and read the book. I don't know what I would have done if I didn't know about those techniques." Her baby is still swaddled when he's freaking out, he's 6 months old. It still works for her.
DVD. The heartbeat section put K to sleep every night as a baby. LIFESAVER!
Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all."

They worked for us. I read the book and Bri watched segments of the DVD on You Tube.
