poll: photo Christmas cards

I haven't done Christmas cards in a few years. Frankly, I got kinda bitter because it seems like I'm the only person in my or Ben's family who sends them and I was getting annoyed at taking the time to write them and mail them when I only ever received like 2 in return. Yes, I keep score. Stick out tongue

Anyway, I was thinking of doing some photo Christmas cards this year because we have the boys now - but Ben and I both hate having our picture taken so I was thinking of just using a photo of Will and Dash. And then I thought that might be weird. And then I thought I might be overthinking it.

Do you do photo Christmas cards? If so, what are you planning on using as your photo?

i voted special snowflake only b/c I am not sending cards (I used to when we lived away from the family but I see them all of the time so no cards for them!) but anywho...I think it is okay to do any of the above. I have received cards that were the whole family, just kids & just furbabies. If I were doing cards, I would probably just go with whatever picture came out best...if it is a family one, great. if not, just the baby(ies) works for me too.

I voted for the first option, since that's what I'm hoping to do this year (assuming I can find someone to take a decent pic of all three of us that doesn't cost a fortune). However, I see no problem with just kids in the pic, either. The way I see it, that's who people want to see anyway! Stick out tongue

I picked the first one. I like to see the entire family on Christmas cards. It seems when people have kids the parents just leave themselves out of everything. That's just me though

However, if I got a card of just Will and Dash I would squeel because they are just so darn cute anyways

I dislike it when I get photos of kids on xmas cards without the parents. I love seeing the entire family together!

THIS! We're doing whole family for sure and we'll try to include the furbabies if we can but that might be tough since we'll be taking the pics ourselves but we don't have a family pic with the pups yet so maybe this will motivate me to take one...

Or holiday socks! I agree with the others, I prefer to receive a photo cards of the entire family...

I LOVE this picture BUT we did something similar for Bella's first birthday and while I loved it, our families thought it was "ok" stating "we wanted ALL of your FACES"... ugh! You simply can't please everyone. We got tons of what I thought were great pictures, I ended up sending out several different poses and I thought it would be great because people could see all the other pictures when they visited other fam... instead people said "I really wish you would've sent me the one you sent to X"

I, personally, love to get pictures of the whole family and I have a collage frame in my hall that I put all the pictures in (yep I cut the pictures out/off of the card) after christmas and keep them all year). I love it!

This year, we're getting family pictures taken on November 28th. We're planning on making cards out of those pictures, so hopefully there will be a really great one of the whole fam!

I voted for Special Snowflake... I personally prefer to have the whole family in the photo. But MOST, and by that I mean 90 percent, of the cards we get are ONLY KIDS. Just so you know. So if you and Ben want to stay out of the photo, that is probably more the norm than taking a family pic.

Haha, that would be way easier than taking new pics! Now I'm wondering if there's room to Photoshop our dogs' paws while I'm at it =P
