How's the time change treating everyone?

This morning wasn't bad because it was Sunday but I'm wondering how this week will go with earlier bedtime & earlier waking.

Down side of the time change is that she is now ready for bed just before DH gets home from work so he's not going to see her awake very much anymore. That hour was the time they'd spend together after work/before bed. :(

DH said 'won't we just adjust her back to 7:30?' ummm no. she goes down when she gets tired, we do not push for a later bedtime!

hope it's going well for you all

  • K ended up sleeping until 8am without the time change, so we just went about our normal schedule today.  But she has been extra fussy.  I don't know if she is over tired or teething.  She's been drooling, chewing on her fists like crazy, and eating all day long.  I am exhausted and we didn't even do anything today.  HA!

  • Awesome. Been up since 4:30 am. I guess I can be thankful that I used my "extra hour" to get off my butt and run 5 miles. Alexa couldn't stay awake past 7 tonight so I am sure tomorrow am will be similar.

Morgan I am sure Quinn will adjust back after a week or so.

  • I have no idea how this is going to go.  We just got back from FL, where we were an hour ahead.  While we were there, we went back an hour with the time change. Tonight we flew back home & went back another hour.  It will be interesting to see how tomorrow goes...

  • Marcos was up at 6, and went down at 6:30. We will see how it goes tomorrow. I hate that I only have about 20 minutes of sunlight after I finish work.
  • Today was pretty normal for us. Last night C wanted to stay up a little later than normal so he ended up sleeping in until his normal time this morning, but was ready for bed a little early today. We will see how tonight goes but hopefully he sleeps in until about 7 like normal.
  • Nia's been sleeping most of the day. Kinda odd but welcome. I was able to get things done. She's so mellow. We'll see what happens this week. She's not on a set schedule yet (one more month before that happens), but generally I can count on her to go to bed between 10p.m.-midnight and wake up around 5a.m. but she went to bed extra early tonight around 8 then woke up at midnight.
  • G could not stay awake past 7pm last night (normal bedtime around 7:30/8:00) so I was not surprised when she woke up at 6:15 this morning to start her day.....

Why oh why do we need a time change!!??!!!?? I am hoping tonight will be back to normal!!!

  • I'm not really expecting her to stay up much later than she is. She doesn't know what time it is, just that she's sleepy. Sleep will get all messed up when we go to Italy anyhow so we'll just try to fix it later.

I only say that because as a parent that doesn't get to see their child awake for more then 30 minutes Monday-Thursday (unless you count all the times she wakes up at nightStick out tongue) I know how Steve feels, and its not easy. But if she is tired she's tired.

  • Another upside to living in Arizona!  The only thing I need to adjust to is now being only one hour behind my parents instead of 2!
  • Wow!  I'm in the minority here!  It hasn't really bothered us much at all.  Last night Phoebe went to sleep around 7 and woke up around 7 this morning.  The only real difference I've seen is that Rowen was easier to get up for school this morning.  He went to bed the same time but woke up on his own instead of me having to drag him out of bed (so it looks like he might be getting an earlier bedtime).

  • I'm the one who has problems with the time change!  I couldn't fall asleep last night, kept waking up for no reason and then I woke up extra early.

On the other hand, Ol' Girl went to bed about 15 minutes earlier than normal (7:15) and slept until almost 8 this morning.  She has always done well with time changes.  Even when we traveled from west coast to east coast and from west coast to Hawaii, it never phased her.  I don't know how, but it's like her internal clock resets itself.  She's even taking her normal nap right now.  Gotta love her!

  • I hate this.  G seems to sleep with the sun, so he's ready to go to bed at like 5:30 now.  It's 6pm and he's sleeping already.  And he was up at 6 this morning.  I was still trying to adjust to his 7-7 schedule (it used to be 8-8) and now it looks like he has changed it to 6-6.
