When will you register?

I'm pretty sure our shower is in February, so I figured we'd start registering after Christmas. Some family thinks we should do it sooner - in case they want to buy us stuff for Christmas I guess. But, I don't want to worry about items changing / going unavailable. When are you ladies planning to register? I'll be 25 weeks at Christmas, so I was thinking 27 weeks-ish.

I am going to register shortly after my anatomy scan. So it will be sometime around 22 or 23 weeks. I have heard from many people that you will take several trips to register, so I want to give myself plenty of time.

I'm probably going to start a registry the last week in November, after we find out the sex. I'll only be 21 weeks, but I figure just in case someone wants to get the baby a Christmas gift, why not?

I've already started registering, but my live out of state & my first shower will be when we go home for Xmas so I knew it'd have to be done before the shower invitations go out.

Maybe the beginning of December? Anatomy scan is Nov 30th so we will start really looking at stuff then.

After my anatomy scan on December 2nd. Even though I have already put a couple things on the registry that are gender neutral and I know I want.

After Christmas. I'm worried about stock turnover, and mostly, I want to put it off as something fun to look forward to when I don't want to be pregnant anymore!

If people want to get us baby stuff for Christmas I'll happily give them some ideas.

We started our registry this weekend. I am so overwhelmed by all the choices!! It's mainly for us right now to find the exact things we want. Word will spread once the family finds out I am sure.

I would register right now if DH would get on board. He wants to wait until after the Holidays. I guess it'll give me something to look forward to after Christmas is gone, but I may get him to give in and do it sooner! Angel

I have started mine already, mainly so that I can keep track of everything that I like as we pick it out. We will finish it this weekend, after our anatomy scan on Friday.

I'm thinking we will register once we know the sex. To be honest, it will probably mostly be for us to keep track of the things we want. Both of our families don't really have any money to spare to spend on us. One person at work alluded to the fact that there might be a shower, but I have no idea for sure. She's the college's events person and the person who threw my book launch party, so I think she just likes throwing events :-)

lol - I think I created mine at 8/9 weeks - but really it was for me to keep track of things that I wanted - our families definitely want the list for Christmas, though - you might want to wait on a bedding set - but most of the items will probably still be around when you have your shower

We've already registered for all of the big-ish stuff (swing, bouncer, carseat, etc). My anatomy scan is scheduled for 11/30, so we may add more things after that.

I mainly wanted to do it before Christmas in case people wanted to get us baby stuff for Christmas.

We too are doing it before Christmas. My shower looks to be about Feruary 12th. My sis will send invites the first week of January and I need to be registered by then. My friends are like me. . . as soon as that invite comes, I'm off to the store to get the cute stuff.

We are registered already.

I have bought a few items off the registry and so did others for my birthday, which was recently. We are registered on Amazon so it's really easy to change and update. If you register somewhere with a good website it shouldn't be as much of a hassle as going in person.
