Undergoing fertility testing and just got some (sucky?) news.
My DH's SA revealed healthy count and motility but zero percent morphology. Anybody have a sense for what this means for our ability to get pregnant?
PS) My CD 3 blood work was well within normal range. HSG, too.

Re: Morphology: Zero.
They have found that morphology isn't as important as they thought. It just means none of the sperm are "normal" shaped. It doesn't mean that they can't penetrate an egg. They are saying that if the count is good and the motility is at least 50% pregnancy is possible. Read this attachment.

This is awesome! Thank you so much!
Bummer: Sans clear-cut answers, my docs are saying we might have a case of "unexplained infertility" on our hands here. It's exactly the diagnosis I didn't want. I'd rather "pregnant."
Of course, I suppose there's some wisdom in that adage: We make plans and God laughs.

Here's what we did:
1) Make sure to keep his boys cool -- no laptops, heated seats, hot tubs, etc. 2) He fully quit smoking. 3) He quit drinking tons of soda every day. 4) I loaded him up on vitamins -- multi, L-Arginine, Zinc, Folic Acid, Vitamin C, B12 (I think that's what he took).
It takes around 3 months after you make changes to generate new sperm.
Our first IUI after 3 months of that regimen was successful, so don't lose hope!
I'm currently 28 weeks pregnant, and the urologist originally told us we'd have a slim chance even with IVF.
Good luck!
WOW! That is so encouraging! Congrats on being pregnant, what a great testimony that things with MFI can get better and even lead to pregnancy. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, thank you! Sooo encouraging and hugest congrats OceanBreeze!
