my doc explained group b strep and said that if positive, i'll get penicillin automatically when i go into the hospital, well i'm extremely allergic to penicillin, and the back up medication they often use "sulfa drugs" so anyone know what'll happen after that?
Re: group b strep with allergies?
The hospital I work at uses clindamycin or vancomycin. There are a number of options - based on your prescriber's preference and hospital infection control practices.
