There is a franchise of Kid 2 Kid opening in the galleria area (Post Oak, near Luby's) next month. They are open now for buying, though, if you have stuff you want to unload. I went over today to sell some clothes and this is basically what I got:
IF you are a regular consigner of clothes and do things like the JBF sale, the prices are fair for things like Old Navy, Crazy 8, even Gymboree and Gap if you have a few of those, especially one offs that are harder to sell on eBay or where ever not in outfits.
However, the prices they are paying for things like Janie & Jack and Polo are far below what you can get if you sell yourself. The good news there is that they are selling the stuff pretty cheap if you want to shop.
EX: I have a linen camp shirt with embroidery down the front and white linen shorts from J&J, size 6-12 mos, worn once. I won't disclose what I paid for it, lest you slap me next time you see me in person (it was for birthday pictures, people!). The owner told me that she would sell the outfit for $11.99, so I would get less than $4 for it. Not good as a seller but really awesome as a buyer.
They also have a couple of Orbit stroller systems on consignment and a lot of new retail items like hair bows, baby legs, cute tshirts (mostly girl stuff).
