Question regarding BRU returns...

My first baby shower was this past Saturday and I was really surprised at all the things that I got from my registry. I got a lot of duplicate stuff, however, and I'm wondering what is the best way to return them. Some things were taken off the registry by the second person who purchased them. Do I add the duplicate item to the registry as if I wanted 2 to begin with, or do I just go to BRU and tell them that it wasn't taken off the registry and this is why I got a duplicate?

What do you ladies suggest?

    I added everything, including duplicates that weren't on my registry and they returned everything without so much as a question.

    They should be able to take it back no questions asked. If it's ON your registry and you don't need it they should take it back. They did that for our wedding registry at Bed, Bath and Beyond. We didn't even need receipts but they'll pull up your registry and look at it

    The only way your returns will come off of your registry is if you have them scan your registry while making the return.  So if you are only returning duplicates, don't have them scan your registry and nothing will change.

    I didn't add anything, duplicate or not, before making my return @ BRU.  I just told the girl at Customer Service that I was returning duplicates I received at the shower.  She didn't even pull up the registry to check it.
