how long after stopping the pill did YOU get pregnant?!

Hey all, I am new here and have just decided this week with the hubs that we want to start to TTC!!..just wondering..how long after the pill did you get pregnant?

    hi,

    I stopped taking my Pill the first of september and well needless to say i'm 6weeks pregnant. My Husband and I werent trying. I was thinking that it would take us awhile so i was trying to cycle it out of my system but i guess thats not so.

    I came off the pill the end of last November and am still not PG yet. As you can see by my siggy, we have some possible issues to overcome so not to say it will take that long for you, but just speaking from experience, don't get too upset if it doesn't happen right away. It can take a perfectly healthy couple 12 months to conceive. For some it happens right away, for others it takes a while longer, even if they are doing everything possible to have sex at the "right time". Also, it's up to you, but personally I would also recommend NOT telling anyone you're TTC. Again, just speaking from experience, I really regret it b/c now that's ALL anyone asks ("So, how's it going?", "No babies yet?", "Just RELAX") and it's to the point now where it's beyond annoying, it's painful. Good luck to you, I hope it happens sooner rather than later for you:)

    Me: 32 - Stage II Endo / DH: 36 - Low count and morphology (1%)
    IUIs 1-3 BFN, lap Dec. 2010, IUIs 4-6 BFN
    IVF w/ICSI #1 - ER 2/8: 24R 19M 9F ET 2/13 2-5 day blasts (no frosties) = BFP - b/g twins!

    it took me and my husband no time to get pregnant. We both redeployed from Iraq on July 29. I went off the pill the first week of AUG, which was the first week we were home. I thought it would take some time for my body to re-adjust after all the years of taking the pill. we werent really trying but at the same time we were, kinda. well, while on block leave at the end of the month, i took a PTest just to see. And sure enough, my body said "i'm ready" the moment i stopped taking the pill. i am now 15 weeks. (which is how long we have been home since redeploying)

    I've been off the pill since the beginning of August and no baby yet. My cycles have been a little out of whack though, so its been a little hard to pinpoint when I'm ovulating.

    Stopped taking the pill first week of april. Had a BFP and dating US that put conception 2nd week in april.

    It took us 13 months. We had just began all the testing for infertility treatment, including a flush of my tubes when it happened.  The Dr. told us that after that procedure I probably got pregnant that same week!  I agree with a PP that telling people we were TTC was a big mistake, it just added to the pressure.  Good luck!  Remember, the practicing is supposed to be fun!
