I'm undecided. The 4th is one of my most favorite holidays, so I think it'd be awesome for me personally to have my birthday that day . . . but that's not to say my LO would feel the same!
I wouldn't care if the baby came on July 4th or not, as long as this baby is coming out healthy and home with me. My brother's youngest is a July 4th baby... It's actually pretty cool.
My DD was due 9/21 and came 9/15 (water broke 9/14) so I'll be surprised if I go until 7/7. I'd be fine with a 4th of July baby, it could just make getting people to be home for birthday parties difficult. I got married Labor Day weekend
DH and I are both military so I think it would be super cool to deliver on the 4th. LO will always have their birthday off and celebrations for the rest of their life.
I worked with a 4th baby and his parents would follow the parade and tell him everyone was there for him...he would be in the back seat waving to everyone I thiught that was so cute!!
But as of now my EDD is 2 July...But I am late for everything, so maybe LO will pick that up from me LOL
I'm due 7/7 and for some reason i really dont want a july 4th baby. maybe its just because i love the 4th and i dont want to spend the whole day couped up at the hospital, haha.
I am the 1st of July so I absolutely don't want to wait until the 4th but it would still be okay with me. He/she would have great bday parties for sure!!

I would be thrilled. DH has NO interest in fireworks and I LOVE them. I'm sooo excited to have kids and to have an "excuse" to watch fireworks, especially if it is LO's bday!
That said, I'm due the 1st so I hope I don't go over. But last time my edd was 10/19, then the NT scan moved it back by 10 days to the 29th, and I delivered the 26th. So anything could happen this time around!
I'm hoping our LO is not born on the 4th. We already have a 4th of July birthday in the family, and it is often overshadowed by the holiday. We'll see what the little bean wants, though!

According to my LMP Im due on july 8th. I wouldn't want to have my baby on the 4th. Only because when I have bday parties many people may be out of town. Sharing a bday & holiday otherwise doesn't bother me.

I think I would be okay with it, although I'm hoping for the 3rd as it is my DH Birthday and my oldest brother's birthday AND I got the positive HPT on 10/21/10 which is my middle brother's birthday! Crazy huh!!?! As long as it is healthy it can come out whatever day it chooses!!:)

I am excited to have a July 4th baby! My b-day is a week before Christmas and it was never fun as a child. I dream of having over-the-top birthday picnics for baby, so maybe the 4th is fate!
Could be worse. My sister was born on Groundhog day and hears the shadow jokes all the time! Plus having a holiday birthday makes it easier for folks to remember it.
Re: If you are due around July 4th...
My cousin is a July 4th baby and she loves it. Growing up, she believed that all the fireworks and parties were solely to celebrate her birthday.
What a great innocence to have!

That exactly! That's what my husband and sweet friend both said yesterday! But my MIL birthday is on the 9th, so I am torn between the two days.
