My SIL invited me to go see a movie with "just the girls" last night. I hadn't been out in almost a week and thought a movie wouldn't be too stressful. I was having an all right IF day, even though my SIL and one of the other girls going are moms and talk incessantly about baby-this, baby-that. A movie wouldn't hurt, right? Not much talking. Yeah right.
One of my friends brought her 5 month old baby to the movie. Really? And sat next to me. Okay, bring your kid...whatever...but don't sit next to me. As soon as the movie starts, she proceeds to breastfeed her child. The kid was scratching on my arm. OMG - I thought I was going to flip the he!! out. I got up and went to the bathroom, and sat at the very end when I came back into the theater.
IF changes / messes up everything. I mean, should it have been that big of a deal that she brought her kid? Not really. But to me it was. No matter what I do, even when I "plan" for girls or adults only, there's always somebody that brings their baby. And I always feel like the outsider.
My vent is over & thanks for listening!
Re: Movie? Why, sure....(baby ment)
Hugs to you hon. I have been wondering how you are doing. We are about the same here no news yet, and we are 1/2 a month into Jon being on Clomid.
If you ever need to vent shoot me a message on fb.
Sue

Oh, I would've flipped too!
And..this totally could've been me with my best friend several years ago when her first was a baby. She wouldn't leave the baby with anyone EVER...so, baby went to movies and everywhere with us when we hung out...and she breastfed too...anywhere, anytime....until her child was over 4. *blink*
I hope your next girls night out goes better, hon!

Sorry Tiff that your girls night wasn't fun! I would have said "really, really right now!"
What movie was it & for just a thought, do young children like that get in free!?
I was more annoyed than anything.....seemingly that even at a "girls nite", I can't get away from babies. Argh!
The movie was "Life As We Know It", which I was fine with. I thought I would have had more of a problem with the story line, but thankfully I was fine. I would imagine that they do get in free, because she held him the entire time, so it's not like he had his own seat.
