Need gift ideas for 6 year old niece

Our niece's birthday is on Sunday and she will be six. She's really into horses right now. Other than a stuffed horse, which I think she's a little too old for, I'm not sure what to get her. Any ideas?

    If she likes reading there are a million good horse books.  My 6 y/o just finished reading "If Wishes Were Horses" and loved it.  If she's not a big reader there are great how to draw horses books, horse sticker books, etc. 

    A Webkinz horse also might be a good idea -- even my 9 y/o still likes Webkinz.

    And arts and crafts kits are great for that age -- especially jewelry making ones.

    Ditto horse books!  Or an arts/crafts project about horses.

    Target has those Schleich brand figurines -- what about a few figurines: some toy horses and some fairies or princesses to ride them? 

    FFR, the Hearthsong catalog has a BUNCH of cool horse stuff like a horse-themed sleeping bag, a wooden stable, horse crafts, etc. 

    High School English teacher and mom of 2 kids:

    DD, born 9/06/00 -- 12th grade
    DS, born 8/25/04 -- 7th grade

    is she into barbie's too?  dd loves My Little Ponies and has started asking for a Liv doll with a horse.. there's a set on toysrus.com .
