Anyone on Femara?

Found out last week that my BFP was only a chemical prenancy and am pretty discouraged!

Diagnosed with PCOS in 1996, went through almost 8 yrs of treatments to TTC with my ex and am just hitting the year mark of trying with my fabulous DH. This last BFP was from Clomid, but I'd been on it a year without success. Ended up seeing a new Dr. this last week and he has put me on Femara instead of Clomid. I start taking it tomorrow (cd3) and just had a couple questions for everyone on here...

Anyone been on Femara after Clomid didn't work for them? Are the side effects similar? Did it work for you? I am already taking PNV and a baby asprin daily, do any of the other wives tales really work? (ie: cold meds, accupuncture, pineapple, pre-seed)

All of the on-line reasearch is fairly outdated, most of it is from before 05, but just looking to see if anyone has experience with this med...

One of the gals on my local board did Femara and the side effects are supposed to be easier than those of Clomid. If you want to page her, let me know and I can give you her username.

My RE prescribed Femara for me years ago before my son was conceived. I don't recall any side effects. It worked on the first cycle - DS was conceived and carried full term - no complications. GL to you Kel

I've never taken Clomid, but have been on Femara for about 4 months. I just had IUI #3, TTC #1 today. I haven't had any side effects with Femara at all.
